Advanced Laparoscopic Urology: Minimally Invasive Approaches to Kidney Cancer

Course Description
This advanced course is designed for surgeons with moderate to advanced experience in laparoscopic urology surgery. Attendees begin with participation in a Skills Set Assessment in the Center's Computer Simulation Lab using box trainers and a module of FLS (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery). The didactic sessions offer an in-depth review of:  laparoscopic ablative techniques (RFA and cryoablation), radical andpartial nephrectomy, review of hemostatic aids including suturing and topical hemostatics, and laparoscopic ultrasound.
